First Love

Since 1945 I have had the joy, excitement, and adventure of walking with Jesus. He is my Lord, my Master, my Saviour, and my King. I am awed that, out of love for us, the One who created the heavens and the earth came to this planet and died on the cross for me and for all people. The greatest truth of Scripture is that the living Creator of the universe indwells us and has poured out His love into our hearts through His Spirit. The life of every believer who is totally yielded to His control will demonstrate this love - love for God and others.

In this book we will examine the Bible's greatest teaching about love: Jesus' report card to the church at Ephesus. The Ephesians had left their first love for God and, as a result, for each other. To restore their first love, Jesus gave them an assignment involving, in order, the mind, heart, soul, and strength. It requires every part of us to return to that love from which we may have strayed. If your flame of love for Him is flickering, you will discover a wonderful way to rekindle that fire and discover the love you have left.
